One Billion Blogs for Peace – Change Starts Here…

15th April 2015

Welcome to the inaugural blog for One Billion Acts of Peace, a global community of everyday people performing thoughtful actions that contribute to world peace. Our goal is to bring people together to help address the ten key areas critical to world peace such as environmental sustainability, human rights and access to water and natural resources. We hope to inspire one billion acts of peace by 2019!

Anyone can contribute to change, no matter how big or small. Creating change requires tenacity and commitment, and in the long-term everyone can make an incredible difference in the world.

Where we’re from

This international movement is driven by The PeaceJam Foundation, which is led by thirteen Nobel Peace Laureates including the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu who have dedicated their lives to peace and activism. Founding members for this campaign also include Google and Wells Fargo.

Support from the Laureates also means we can mentor through the Curriculum that explores their life and work as well as through the Nobel Legacy Film Series, feature-length films on each of the Nobel Peace Laureates.

How to get involved

There are so many ways to get involved with One Billion Acts of Peace and PeaceJam – from attending a PeaceJam event or committing an act of peace for the campaign via our website. We’d love to hear about your act of peace.

Watch this space, as we will share our upcoming news, views and inspiring stories from people like you.

Thanks 🙂
